Our Team Leader's favorite quote:
We need to be productive.

Why we think we should win:
The team took hours out of their schedules multiple days a week to work diligently at creating the complex, diverse, and functional parts of our Goldberg machine. We fashioned a lot of the parts on our own from random and interesting objects found laying around our homes and classrooms. Overall, the team took a lot of care into the project, striving to only make a creative and fun contraption.

Suggestion for next year's challenge:
flip a switch/lever

Rube Goldberg Machine – Story
Rubin was working on one of his own projects, a machine that would turn on a light, when all of a sudden he cut himself on a piece of wood. He didn’t realize that upon falling down, he pulled on a string that sent his entire contraption into action. Marbles traveled down ramps, dominoes toppled over one another, and strings were pulled, all while he was still on the ground in pain. To his totally unrelated fortune, a Band-Aid was stuck to the final part of the machine, as it was the only thing he had to tape together the wood. As the final step, the Band-Aid landed on Rubin, conveniently right on the place of his injury.
