What we're studying:
Force, Momentum, Friction, Actions and Reactions, Speed.

Our Team Leader's favorite quote:
"Be who you are, say what you feel because those who mind don't matter and those who matter don't mind" -J.K. Rowling and Dr. Seuss

Why we think we should win:
We should win because we worked really hard. We followed the 8 keys when we were constructing and building our machine. We worked together and never gave up even when the machine would not work. We made sure everyone had a voice and all ideas were shared. We made sure everyone was apart of the Rube Goldberg Machine process.

Suggestion for next year's challenge:
-Put water in a cup

Favorite Rube Goldberg video:

Mr. Potato Head has to go to a party to speak at Tilted Toyland, but the building he works at caught on fire. He forgets his lucky penny inside! Good thing Firefighter Mickey puts out the fire. He then calls Detective Snoopy to help find the lucky penny inside. They find the penny in a short amount of time. Detective Snoopy calls his other toy friends so they can help get the penny back to Mr. Potato Head. All of the other toys are trying to chip in. Firefighter Mickey gives the penny to Woody and Jessie. But oh no! They come to a river, but can’t cross the river in their car! Pirate and Dragon come up with an idea! They create a bridge for the car to go across. But it’s too late! Woody and Jessie ram their car into a pile of books. The books fall down so they throw throw the penny up to Mr. Scribbles aka the crocodile and he channels his inner tarzan and swings across the river and knocks down a cereal factory. The army men are trying to make sure that the rope is secure enough to hold Mr. Scribbles. The penny flies through the air and lands by Mr. Incredible. He picks it up and uses his super strength to throw it down the golf course where it gracefully falls into Mr. Potato Head’s back pocket. The crowd goes wild! Mr. Potato Head finishes his speech about the many uses of potatoes. Once again, the toys have saved the day at Tilted Toyland! Hooooorayyyyyy!!!!!!!!

Our Step List

1. The marble rolls down a foam ladder
2. The marble hits a black ball, which hits the toy car
3. The toy car rolls down the ramp and hits the wood block
4. The wood block hits the books
5. The books do a domino effect and hit the cracker box
6. The cracker box falls over, which allows the toy alligator to swing
7. The toy alligator swings and hits the cereal box
8. The cereal box has a string around it that is attached to a ruler, so when the box falls, it drags the ruler
9. The ruler falls and activates the golf ball to roll down the ramp
10. The golf ball hits washers
11. The washer fall on the ground, which pull the ruler upwards and flips the penny into the Mr. Potato Head.
