What we're studying:
While constructing our Rube Goldberg machine, we have been studying momentum and velocity as well as friction and gravitational pull.

Our Team Leader's favorite quote:
"Is the power on...Bobby??"

Why we think we should win:
We started on this machine right after the 2015 Rube Goldberg competition with huge plans to ensure our win. There was a lot of excitement over the summer for what we planned to be the final product only to find out our advisor was sadly moved to another school. He had what we strongly lacked--knowledge on technology and construction. Not having those two basic necessities for a successful machine was a huge liability. With him went our space and time. We needed a teacher to take up the project so we'd have a place to work. It was no secret we had a huge lack of resources. Many doubted we would even finish the machine in time because we worked half as fast but twice as hard just to figure out how to make steps work. Briggs should win because we overcame the biggest obstacle of all--losing our entire foundation for our team.

Suggestion for next year's challenge:
Make a bowl of cereal
Take a photo
Shoot a video

Favorite Rube Goldberg video:

The Briggs High School Rube Goldberg machine is a Mary Poppins inspired dollhouse. By means of her magic, the dollhouse comes to life. Her magic touches the rooms, starting out in the room of slumber, flowing into the bathroom, down the slide to the kitchen, and lastly touching the living room and opening the umbrella outside (to avoid bad luck!)
