We have worked really hard over the past couple months. We only used classroom materials, and have tried really hard to make this great.

Favorite Rube Goldberg video:

One day, a wooden block went outside to go play with his friends. However, he soon tripped and fell on his face and needed band-aid brand bandages. The wooden block was very sad as evidenced by his sad demeanor. Once we placed the band-aid on his face, he lived happily ever after. Remember guys, if you're sad, design an overly complicated Rube Goldberg machine, and make it drive a truck with a band-aid attached to it into your face.

Our Step List

1: Catapult to start of the machine. It uses elastic potential energy and a lever system to fire.
2: The projectile (tennis ball) releases and hits the target, which is on a wheel and axle system, and transfers the kinetic energy, to rotational kinetic energy.
3: The target spins due to the rotational kinetic energy, and hits another wheel and axle system that holds a marble, that is let free into a funnel
4: The marble spins around in the funnel and drops into a bucket.
5: The bucket tips over and lets the marble fall into a cup.
6: The marble weighs down a class one lever system, in which the other side pulls a string that moves a barrier.
7: The releasing of the barrier leads a marble down an inclined plane.
8: The marble knocks over a chain of dominoes, in which the last one is attached to a string, which falls off the table and takes the string with it.
9: The string releases a school bus toy which rolls down an inclined plane.\
10: The school bus knocks over a chain of dominoes.
11: The last domino knocks over a brick via string which moves a lever via string.
12: The other side of the lever lifts up and releases the car which travels down an inclined plane and applies the band-aid to a sad wooden block.
