Our Team Leader's favorite quote:
“Imagination will often carry us to worlds that never were, but without it we go nowhere.”
― Carl Sagan

Our machine is called helping hands. It was built using pvc, k'nex, cardboard, a 3D printed hand, hand shaped fly swatters, tape, tubes, steel balls, plastic beads, and other bits and pieces. This was our first time entering a Rube Goldberg contest.

Our Step List

STEP 1 - The wrecking ball is released to hit Steel Ball 1
STEP 2 - Steel ball 1 rolls down the ramp and through the tube hitting steel ball 2
STEP 3 - Steel ball 2 hits steel ball 3
STEP 4 - Steel ball 3 knocks over the dominoes
STEP 5 - Dominoes hit steel ball 4
STEP 6 - Steel ball 4 goes through the tube and lands in the box, the weight of the ball causes the box to drop and pull the string down
STEP 7 the string tips the bottle over the bar
STEP 8 the bottle pours beads through the funnel
STEP 9 the container fills with beads causing it drop
STEP 10 when the bead container drops the yellow hand lifts and puts the band-aid on the 3D printed hand.
