Why we think we should win:
We all have one thing in common, a love for Rube Goldberg Machines. We have spent months working on this machine to make it the best machine possible.Suggestion for next year's challenge:
I think that a new task could be send a text message.
Since the task this year is "Apply a Bandaid" we decided that we wanted to make our machine an ambulance.
Our Step List
1.Doors open, releasing a golf ball through a pulley.
2.Golf ball then proceeds to fall through the cast and down the top of the fire truck, knocking the back door of the fire truck over, releasing a small action figure down a zip line.
3.The small action figure hits the cards on the turnpike, turning it which then releases a golf ball.
4.The golf ball rolls down a ramp and falls into a cup which in turn offsets a flat landing.
5.When the flat landing is lifted a golf ball rolls down knocking a block of wood, which in turn hits another golf ball and repeats 2 more times.
6.The last golf ball proceeds to roll down into a funnel knocking over three wooden dominos.
7.The last domino pulls down a stopper, which releases a car.
8.The car has a string attached to it and as it falls it pulls down a funnel that has a bag of rice in it.
9.When the funnel is pulled down and the rice falls it lands on a wooden platform opening a snowball maker.
10.Inside the snowball maker there is a marble that is released and falls into a wooden bucket.
11.The weight in the bucket pulls down a see saw causing the other end to lift releasing marbles, which proceed to roll down a marble run.
12.The marbles fall at the bottom of the marble run pushing a car, which falls releasing a stopper attached to the car by a string releasing marbles.
13.The marbles that were released from the tube are then poured into a cup on a pulley and offsets the weight of the hammer letting it fall.
14.When the hammer falls and swings it hits a turning platform causing the drum to fall off.
15.The drum then proceeds to knock over some bowling pins.
16.The two yellow bowling pins have strings attached to them so when they fall they pull down a stopper allowing the toy spooly to glide down a ramp.
17.The toy spooly hits a turning stand which pulls a stopper out of a ramp.
18.A hamburger maker slides down a ramp and hits a ping pong ball down a series of ramps.
19.The ping pong ball knocks a wheel over causing it to roll through a path.
20. The wheel then proceeds to knock over a wooden spatula applying the band aid on goldberg.
