What we're studying:

Our Team Leader's favorite quote:
Our greatest weakness lies in giving up. The most certain way to succeed is always to try just one more time.
Thomas Edison

Why we think we should win:
We should win the 2013 Rube Goldberg competition is because we definitely had persistence. We tested our machine over 200 times before it worked. We thought about giving up more than just a few times, but we knew we wanted to win this competition, so we kept on. As William Edward Hickson once said, “If at first you don’t succeed, try, try again.” Another reason I think we should win this competition is because our machine took so long to build, decorate, and set up, over and over again. We devoted months and months of our time in R.I.S.E. class putting our machine together. Every Wednesday when we came into class, we got straight to work setting our machine up for the day. Each time before we ran the machine, we’d say, “This time, it’s going to work.” And, finally, it did!
