Favorite Rube Goldberg video:
One day, whilst making a machine to make his morning coffee, Rube Goldberg suffered a minor laceration on his face from a wild rubber band. Amidst his panic, Rube dialed 911 for he could not find a bandage for his wound. An ambulance arrived to his abode, expecting emergency, yet found no huge trouble! Rube struggled to get their attention, so he popped a balloon and passed out from the noise and minor lack of blood, forcing the paramedics to drive him to the hospital in the ambulance. One the way, Rube was making a fuss, spilling pill bottles all over the place. The paramedics reluctantly wheeled Rube past the maternity wing and took his blood pressure. For safety measures, they placed Rube in a room, attached an IV bag and monitored the patient’s heart. After listening to Rube’s heartbeat, the doctor took a break to joke with the medics about the patient’s overreaction. During this leave, Rube looked around and noticed his room had a view across the harbor where ambulance boats were floating. He soon got bored and went into the little play area of his room, playing with toys made for toddlers. He grew tired and then fell asleep on his comfy hospital bed. After adjusting it to a comfortable position, the doctor woke up the theatrical patient by slapping a bandage on his face. Thus, Rube was happy and left the hospital smiling!
