What we're studying:
Throughout the course of the year, our class has been studying the physics, mechanics, and mathematics that go into building and maintain a machine like ours. We feel as if we study these topics we are better suited to completely understand our machine and how to solve any dilemma during the competition. We also study the electrical theory to have our minds go further than how just electricity works, but how math and science are incorporated into things we use on a daily basis that most people don't pay attention to. lastly weather we know it or not we are studying how to be on a team and how we work with others. This will also help us for when we go into the workforce and working with other people we don't get along with and these skills will help us cope with these later on in our careers.

Our Team Leader's favorite quote:
"Failure is simply the opportunity to begin again, this time more intelligently"

Why we think we should win:
We think we should win because we put in hours upon hours of time and effort to perfect our machine and we think that we've created the best machine possible. We put our skills and education to use and we feel like we are better suited to win this competition than the other participants. Most of our materials are recycled from past competitions and things that you can find on an everyday basis so although other teams may have better looking materials, we know what our machine is capable of more than what other teams have and we know that it is more reliable than sturdy tools.

Suggestion for next year's challenge:
Our team's suggestion for next year's competition is to pick up a phone.

Our machine this year has four sections and each section has a different theme. The first section will have a ATM theme, this was the most unique and superb theme for us due to the fact that the competition involves money. Our second section has an urban theme, its starts off coming our of an ATM in the city. We decided to track to the path of money. Money goes through all different types of cities, towns, and even farms. After our first city theme, it goes to a suburban, town theme. Our suburban level focuses on the non busy life of a towns person. The money travels from banks to pockets to even states. Our next and final level is a rural/farm theme. This is where the money hypothetically ends up in the cycle. The money eventually ends up in a piggy bank on a farm. All of our material is recycled from previous years so we know how the machine runs and what we are capable of doing.
