What we're studying:
In our science class before doing this project, we learned many different topics and learned so much that allowed us to succeed in doing this. Before this project, we were studying different types of energies that we were required to use in our project. We learned the five different types of energies like electromagnetic, electrical, mechanical, thermal, and chemical. We also learned the six types of simple machines like a wheel and axel, pulley, lever, screw, wedge, and an inclined plane. All these lessons allowed us to succeed in doing this Rube Goldberg project.

Our Team Leader's favorite quote:
"Not everything that can be counted counts, and not everything that counts can be counted."
-Albert Einstein

Why we think we should win:
We think we should win because of all the hard work we have put into this project. Our team has a strong friendship that allows us to work together extremely well. This project has allowed us to create a strong bond that will never be broken and we believe that we have put in more than enough time into this project to move on in this competition.

Suggestion for next year's challenge:
Our suggestions for next year's challenge is to be able to turn on a phone.

Favorite Rube Goldberg video:

Our project is describing a girl and her struggles through cyber-bullying using the six simple machines and the five types of energies.

Our Step List

1.) We use electromagnetic energy by starting the remote control car
2.) The car pulls out the piece of card board releasing the cup of sand
3.) The sand falls into another cup which pulls out a popsicle stick
4.) The marbles get released and roll down the screw
5.) The marbles then hit the mouse trap releasing the Zhu Zhu pet
6.) The Zhu Zhu pet then hits a bouncy ball and it rolls down a tube
7.) The ball hits the books turning on the power switch
8.) When the power switch gets turned on, it turns on both a fan and a hair dryer
9.) The fan gets turned on then turns making a popsicle stick fall out
10.) A marble rolls down another screw
11.) The marble hits a wheel allowing it to roll resulting in another marble falling
12.) The marble rolls into a basket
13.) The basket is attached to a pulley which allows another basket to move upward
14.) The popsicle sticks that are attached to the basket hit a toy car
15.) The car then falls off an inclined plane allowing the car to hit a dead end
16.) When the blow dryer gets turned on, it makes toilet paper roll down an inclined plane
17.) The toilet paper hits a domino which falls onto a mouse trap
18.) The mouse trap closes with a stick attached
19.) The band-aid gets applied to a cell phone
