What we're studying:
We are an interdisciplinary team of senior mechanical, electrical, and computer engineering students at the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga.

Our Team Leader's favorite quote:
"Born under the second law of thermodynamics, steeped in the steam tables, in love with free-body diagrams, transformed by Laplace, and propelled by compressible flow. I am an engineer..." - Neil Armstrong

Our machine is based on the iconic Looney-Tunes© universe. The main focus of our machine is the "mountain" that sits in the center of a peaceful ski resort and forest. When suddenly, disaster strikes; the mountain turns out to be a volcano and the residents must launch into action to stop their village from being destroyed.

Our Step List

.) Hi-Striker lever transfers kinetic energy to weight
.) Weight transfers kinetic energy to bell
.) Bell's vibration releases potential energy in washer
.) Washer triggers lever
.) Lever releases potential energy in spring of tape measure
.) Tape measure transfers kinetic energy to pin
.) Pin releases potential energy in bocce ball
.) Bocce ball pulls string attached to laser gun
.) Laser gun trigger releases electrical energy in laser
.) Laser triggers servo motor through receiver (Controller Step)
.) Servo motor triggers potential energy in tower
.) Tower hits switch engaging motor
.) Motor winds up string pulling another switch
.) Switch engages a second motor attached to an arm
.) Arm swings hitting a lever releasing potential energy in spring gun
.) Peg transfers kinetic energy to duck bill
.) Duck bill pulls string releasing potential energy in bird cage
.) Bird cage hits lever releasing potential energy in mouse
.) Mouse hits books releasing potential energy in book chain
.) Book chain knocks over bottle staring chemical reaction
.) Chemical reaction produces carbon dioxide inflating balloon
.) Balloon pressure knocks over weight releasing potential energy
.) Weight pulls down screen
.) Screen releases potential energy in golf ball
.) Golf ball rolls into hole hitting button
.) Button engages motor which applies Band-Aid©
