    Our Step List

Potential energy is stored in water inside of the bottle. When the student squeezes the bottle, water comes out the small hole in the bottle and hits the dominos, which also contain potential energy. The dominos fall and hit the marble, creating kinetic energy, which races down a track. The marble knocks into a carefully balanced Creeper, which hurtles down a ramp hitting an upright ruler holding up a hammer which swings down and whacks a pool ball. All of the steps before this one use mechanical energy. The pool ball flies down the ramp into another pool ball which hits a joystick on a remote. The joystick activates a tank that uses batteries full of potential energy (derived from chemicals) which drives up a ramp and pops a balloon. That releases a bowling ball which heads off down a ramp and then lands on a lever, (lots of potential energy) zipping a pocket zipper.
