What we're studying:
We are studying ecosystems, food chains and food webs

Our Team Leader's favorite quote:
Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our Light, not our Darkness, that most frightens us. Marianne Williamson

Why we think we should win:
WE are creative, talented and work together well.

For our machine the theme is the sea. Our machine starts with a fisherman in a boat. You will see many different ocean creatures as you travel with our machine. We used pulleys and ramps. Watch out for the jellyfish, the electric eel,the whale and the octopus. Our final step is using a string attached to a switch.

Our Step List

1. Ball drops from fishing boat.
2. Second ball gets hit
3. Ball drops onto pulley
4. Pulley starts car
5. Car hits blocks
6. Blocks hit ball and travels down ramp and hits octopus
7. Octopus hits ball that knocks down blocks
8. Blocks hit ball that hits more blocks
9. Block pulls lever
10. Lever turns off switch

Our Close-ups: Photos

A maximum of 3 close-ups (scanned diagrams, photos). Images must be JPG or PNG, and less than 5 MB.

Our Close-ups: Task Completion

Our Machine Verbal Presentation. This is your team’s chance to shine and be creative! We want to hear the story your machine tells, and understand how the steps represent the theme and key elements of your narrative. The Machine Introduction should not be a step-by-step explanation of how the steps work. This is where your personality, humor, and team spirit engages the audience and gets them excited to see your machine.
