What we're studying:
In our academically talented class, we are studying physics, technology, and most importantly teamwork. We also competed in Drew University's Model UN and our Ecuador group came home with an award for outstanding delegation and our France group came home with an award for outstanding position paper. Overall, we have been challenging ourselves with harder tasks in academically talented and have been working together as teams to learn how to cooperate. Our Team Leader's favorite quote:
"Oh no, the dots fell off!" -Ava and her blank dominoWhy we think we should win:
We think we should win because we have put a lot of effort into our machine and we are very impressed with how it came out based on the time we had. All nine of us contributed amazing ideas that we used to create our machine. We believe that our hard work and great effort will stand out in the crowd. Suggestion for next year's challenge:
Open a Ziploc bag
Our space themed machine is out of this world! Our machine travels through space on a journey to pour a bowl of cereal. All of our team members are represented through the process as a colorful pod of pumpkin lakes aliens chilling out watching all astroid (golf balls) go by. It all starts at the Johnson Space Center in Houston, Texas where the rocket launches and goes on an expedition throughout the milky way. As we go through we pass all of the 8 planets and many, many beautiful stars.
