What we're studying:
By day, we are writers and musicians at our performing arts school; by night, we study engineering Rube Goldberg style! We tried to use unique elements combined with a strong story to demonstrate our learning.

Our Team Leader's favorite quote:
"Tell me and I forget. Teach me and I remember. Involve me and I learn." - Benjamin Franklin

Why we think we should win:
Our team is made up of artists and storytellers who also love math and science. Because of this, we approached the project by first creating a story, and then building a machine to execute it. We pushed ourselves to think outside the typical Goldberg clichés (marble runs, dominoes, etc.). Our team worked completely independently, without the structure of a class or direct involvement of any teachers in our work. This project was a little out of our realm to begin with, so regardless of voting results, the experience expanded our knowledge incredibly.

Suggestion for next year's challenge:
Keep a balloon in the air for 20+ steps!

In Mr. Goldberg's neighborhood, a kid falls off his bike! Oh no! But not to worry, because the Band-Aid Truck will come to the rescue!
