What we're studying:
Our team consists of enrichment 6th and 7th graders at Trail Ridge Middle School in Gardner KS. We have worked very hard on our project. It just so happened that our projects included engineering, making websites, critical thinking, and much more!

Our Team Leader's favorite quote:
"Dakota! You cannot use a hair, go find some string!" -Natalie (for the scissors step in our RGM)

Why we think we should win:
We should win because we have a very creative machine that has a solid theme. We have had to face many obstacles, but we have found ways to overcome them. I think that we showed great teamwork by incorporating our steps together to help our machine run smoothly.

Suggestion for next year's challenge:
Cut your food
Pop a balloon

Favorite Rube Goldberg video:

The “RUBEik's Cube’s” machine includes a bunch of old and ordinary games. We are upset because we can’t “fix” our rubik's cube. But luckily we have a bandaid to “fix” it! But how do we do that? Oh, Our Rube Goldberg Machine of course. It goes through many steps like an Avalanche board, Farm Families, Battleship and Pop Goes Froggio!

Our Step List

1. Person stomps on launch pad launching the frog up the string and knocking into the lily pad
2. The lily pad falls over making the dice fall off of the lily pad
3. One of the dice falls and spins around the dowel and knocks over the house of cards
4. The other 3 dice fall off the lily pad and land in the boggle container
5. The house of cards falls over and hits the battery
6. The battery rolls down the battleship command centers and hits the domino box lever
7. Lever tips and pours out the marbles
8. The marbles roll down the avalanche board and funnel into the rack-o card holder and close the scissors
9. When the scissors close they cut the dental floss
10. As the dental floss gets cut the sheep and banana fall down and pull the cup
11. When the sheep moves it lifts the cup off the pie-face button
12. The button causes the hand on the pie face game hit the rubik’s cube applying the band-aid to the rubik’s cube
