What we're studying:
Our club studies the practical applications of engineering concepts, taking part in small engineering projects throughout the year and then pooling our efforts to construct a Rube Goldberg machine to enter in the Santa Monica competition.

Why we think we should win:
Our team is full of bright young students with a passion for building and true appreciation for the sciences. They have shown dedication and a desire to succeed throughout our times together and the greatest validation of our efforts would be to win this competition and reap the rewards of our hard work.

Suggestion for next year's challenge:
The increased entry fee in comparison to previous years presented a significant challenge for our club, so we had to increase our fundraising efforts and solicit sponsorships to cover the costs. Ideas for next year's challenge include turning on a fan, popping a balloon, or cracking an egg.

Our machine departs from the common interpretation of the use of a band-aid and applies the action of healing to a greater context. Upon realizing the growing pressures between industry and nature preservation, we decided to theme our machine after the environment and healing our damaged earth.
