What we're studying:
Newton's Laws and simple machinesOur Team Leader's favorite quote:
"Lets make it work."
Our machine is built using Knex parts, styrofoam tubing, dominoes, Jinga pieces, string, painter tape, and lots of blood, sweat and tears!
Our Step List
You let the blue marble go down the orange slide and continue rolling around the blue tubes.
The blue marble then hits the dominoes.
The last domino will hit a marble.
Then that marble will roll down the big black tube to hit another set of dominoes.
The last domino hits the golf ball.
The yellow car rolls down a small tube to hit a roller coaster car.
The roller coaster car rolls down the hill to hit a marble inside a plastic tunnel.
The marble rolls through the tunnel to hit the domino at the end.
The last domino hits the wheel and axle.
The wheel rolls into another domino.
The last domino falls on the wires and completes the circuit.
The circuit starts the Knex machine.
The Knex machine’s arms spin. One arm hits a wood block.
The wood blocks fall like dominoes, and the last one hits a toy car.
The toy car rolls down the tube to hit a box.
The box falls over letting the OW Star Balloon go up.
Another Knex arm pulls yarn attached to it.
The yarn pulls a wheel that hits a domino.
The last domino hits a roller coaster car.
The roller coaster car goes down the hill and is shot backup another hill with the red machine.
The roller coaster car hits the water bottle.
The water bottle falls towards the ground pulling on the rope attached to it.
The rope turns the ferris wheel pouring cereal and milk into the bowl.
