What we're studying:
In science we are studying physics and Newton's 3 laws of energy. As well as Chemistry and Elements on the periodic table. Our Team Leader's favorite quote:

We should win because we put our time and almost all of our club's money into this. Our teacher put her own money and even more time into planning this as well. Regardless of the turnabout we will be proud of other teams and our selves no matter the outcome. Suggestion for next year's challenge:

From a catapult to a water balloon our machines travel from a 3 layered cart to a homemade rectangular prism fame. Using things around our school and our houses we were able to eat lots of cereal.
Our Step List
Step 1: A team member uses a scale to hit a ball ( Ball 1). Step 2: Ball 1 hits Ball 2. Step 3: Ball 2 falls into ramp leading into dominos. Step 4: Domino chain reaction. Step 5: Domino chain reaction hits Swinging device ( Homemade ). Step 6: Swinging device hits Ball 3. Step 7: Ball 3 rolls down track into popsicle stick. Step 8: Popsicle stick swings around hitting Ball 4 ( Ball 4 connected to rope). Step 9: Rope gets pulled causing clay ball to fall. Step 10: Once clay falls catapult is active. Step 11: Catapult tosses Ball 5 into panel. Step 12: Panel hits Hot Wheel car down track. Step 13: Hot Wheel car pops water balloon. Step 14: Cup fills with water ( Water from water balloon goes into funnel then the cup.) causing the pulley to activate. Step 15: Box of cereal gets pulled up pouring cereal into bowl!
